Wednesday's has turned into a workout day for me during this prep for VCM but my body was feeling something else. I didn't feel the need for a workout today and figured that a rugged 18 miler on the trails of Avalonia would suffice. This plan was true also and was just that. It was a bear of a run, well over 2 hours, and was a great day with later plans in the week an all systems go.
It was great to lazily, yet still turned out to be both solid effort and pace, the miles. Whether it were up, down, left or right, I just kept in mind to just roll some miles. I missed a long run during the weekend, due to the 10k race, and wanted time on my feet with a challenge run.
